Post Meinl Cymbals
I am thinking of getting all new cymbals and have narrowed it down I think to two different companies. I was thinking of a combination of Meinl Soundcasters and Mb10's or Sabian AAX and AA's. I think the Meinl's are beautiful cycmbals and sound great but I personally don't know anyone who plays them. What do you guys think?

I'd go with Paiste Alphas

If I were to go with Paiste I would go with Signature Series. I owned a set before and loved them, just don't really want to spend that type of money again. I plan on spending around $1500 - $1700 on my cymbals.

I was in the same position as you. I couldn't decide but I ended up getting meinl. I have all MB10 now. They're pretty sweet. It's the bell blast ride that convinced me. I haven't heard a better bell for metal.

Why did you go with Mb10's instead of Soundcasters....just curious?

They're louder and they are quite purdy. lol

I just preferred the sound of them over the soundcasters. The soundcasters are still great for metal.

How do you like the Signature Reflectors and the 2002's. I guess that could be an option.

I don't know much about Meinl but I know Derek Roddy has a great set of em. If you buy from them, I'm sure you'll be happy.

A lot of great Metal drummers use Meinl. They make really high quality stuff. Of course, you could always get them just for the fact that no one you know uses them. You'll stand out, instead of just another guy playing something from "The Big 3"...
