 My 1st wedding anniversary present
It's not until July, but the wife and I have already taken care of each other's anniversary gifts. I will be getting her a C tenor steel pan. Should be here in about 6 to 8 weeks. In reality, as much as she's wanted one, we'll both be using it quite a bit me thinks.
She ended up getting me a ticket to this year's Modern Drummer Festival Weekend. Both days. Front row. I'm pretty stoked; Gavin Harrison, Simon Phillips, and Ndugu Chancler are who I'm really excited to see. Also the new drummer for the Mars Volta, Thomas Prigden will be there too. I saw a video of them a few weeks ago and this guy was just an outrageous player.
Oh, and some guy named Derek Roddy will be there, too.
Yeah, my wife is pretty awesome.

I don't have an anniversary to speak of really, but speaking of July 4th...I get to see Dethklok, and it's going to be epic.
Hope you have fun at MD Festival sir! It sounds like it's going to be pretty badass.
And have fun Stump! Have long have you and your woman been together?

That's freaky. I married my ex-wife on July 4th as well... It really is a messed up way to celebrate independance day, BTW.

Congrats Rufus!
Not anniversary related, but in the past 6 months my lovely wife has let me get 2 MM snares, 3 Saludas, and a monster 8 piece MM kit. God bless them when they are supportive!

I talk to her every now and then on the phone, she's been real busy with life and school and all that stuff. Lots of things going on with her lol.

The guys that make the music are playing. Gene Hoglan, Brendan Smalls, etc.
I'm excited as all fuck to see Gene Hoglan, he's one of my biggest influences.
So, while it's not really the cartoon, it'll be cool to see if they do anything with CGI on screens and stuff.
