 My new favorite drumsticks
I found my new favorite pair of drumsticks. I don't know how long they've been out but the Vic Firth Extreme 5a sticks are the best. they are slightly longer then the reg. 5a but with no added weight and good balance. Before that, while in a rush I had purchased 3 pair of Vator 5a sticks and they suck. I broke 2 pair in 1 night playing Hip Hop/ R&B. Holla!

Hey now, I play Vater 5b. they don't COMPLETELY suck, though I did break a pair today. Ha I got loaded up for Christmas. I'd say about 7 pairs. Only on the 3rd. =D
I used to play Vic's but I got blisters some kinda bad. So I changed sticks and I got grips, it works.

I use Pro-mark 747's and swear by them. I also play Vic-firth classic rock sticks. They are thicker and are well balanced. If I had to choose 1 though I am going with my 747's.

i play the Vic Firth 5b Extremes(nylon) i love thosethings, the added reach is very handy(pun intended), i like to kinda sit back from my kit as im a bigger guy and the reach really helps. they feel great too. i only wish i could get them made with white lacquer with nylon tips.

These are the same sticks I use and love them, they feel so good, perfect weight, taper and tip, I really dig them, great choice man.

I just picked up a pair of ProMark TXR747N's. The natural, with no finish, ones and I think I fell in love. I usually play with Vic Firth Players 5A but I think Im switchin....once I break the 25 pairs of Vics I have!

i play Vater 5A's and im in a deathemtal band. i rarely break stcks. usually i end up having to retire a stick because its half the size it was when it was new. im a huge fan of Vater but at the moment am trying to get a deal with Grindsticks. Wish me luck!

i myself use a only pro-mark sticks and size 5b. Kind of a bigger stick but i been playing with em for so long i am used to it. Plus learned to increase my blast beat speed just by using em and training my hands for it. Also, for people who break a ot of sticks. While i find pro-mark to last way beyond any other stick i have ever tried. Buy in bulk. rotaing sticks really makes em all last longer. I once used 6 pairs of sticks for 10 months.. by the end they were all so small and the hand area was black haha

hmmm... vic firth 8D nylon tips. i like nylon tips for the slight bit of extra articulation. i've been playing for, god, 15 years now, and i've played almost every kind of stick. nd i always come back to vic firth. and while i ten to play in louder rockish bands for the most part, i have smallish hands. so bigger sticks just don't work for me. i have a pair of super heavy marching sticks i use for practice and warm-up, but i like a smaller, lighter stick while i'm playing. i can be more dynamic with it. it makes it easier to lay back and play quiet. but the 8D's still give me enough beef when it's time to bash and be an animal. sometimes i'll get funky and get the merican sound version with the ball tip... but i still prefer the acorn tip, it's a little more expressive.
