i know this has been posted a thousand times and im sorry, but all the others have too much conflicitng info. i want an evans head with good durabiblity and a somewhat dry crack, but not so dry it has no other sound. i was thinking either the HD, HD dry, or ST dry. im kinda new to evans snare heads. thanks.

i use the reverse dot, and love it. but you might want a 2 play head. if you read on the evans site theres one that it says it the toughest they make. i think its the ST. thats proble the head for you. for increased focus and less resonation, you can put a slug batter badge on there

The ST Dry is just that, Super Tough and Dry. If you're into heavier music you may want that head.

Agreed. The ST Dry is the only head that I'll put on my snare. Love it. Nice and dry, but you still get warmth from it, too. And there are a lot of tuning possibilities with it.

 Evans is GOD!
well the HD dry works really well because it has everything you could possibly dream of. Yeah get it. Anything 2 ply from Evans is good.

If you don't mind Aquarian, my Hi Energy head is sweet, and rim shots are ridiculous on that thing.
