Well i tell you one thing. You can't be a noob with axis pedals. They take time, effort, adjustment, and most importantly....TIME(yes restated). Because people get them and use them for a month and decide they dont like them because they feel to funky but if you take the time to get used to them you'll fly.

I would go with the 9000, their both grat pedals, and IMO you can go faster on the axis, but like he said, they take time to get used to, and the 9000 is a great pedal, but you might want to try out the 8000, i havnt tried it yet, but from what i hear and read, it seems like it may be better then the 9000 is a few ways.

post on local music forums and put up an add on craigslist maybe to see if anyone near you has them and just ask if they will allow you to jam out on them for a while to get a feel for both.

thats what i did and i got a few willing people but never actually went out and tried any out. i just lucked out when i got my axis and got used to them in a bout a month.

dont get axis if you cant try them first. 9000s are smooth as glass but they still feel like chain pedals...axis have a completely different feel and some like it, some dont. its a very expensive mistake to make if you get them and dont like them.
