 New APX Series
if you see the little pop up tab in the top corner of the dml page, sabian has a new series
has anybody heard or played them yet? are they good? they start at 80 bucks so they should be good right? or does that mean theyre bad?

they are comparable to the metal-x series, I don't know why they made a new "heavy music cymbal" unless they are discontinuing the metal-x series. Other wise they are just the same with a cool finish.
Oh and the 8 inch splash starts at $80

Well since alot of people here are B8 cymbal bashers, these are B8 cymbals. But I don't bash B8 so, they seem fine, but I think they are maybe like the B8 bronze metal-x's.

Hey dude, I have played on these when I worked at guitar center.. OK... Think of a suped up B8 with a bit more shimmer and volume. Thats an APX. They are cheap money wise, but they are also cheap sounding. They were designed as a "cut through" cymbal and thats it.. They were not going for tone. SO...
IF cut through with out tone is your goal, then by all means get these bad boys. (BTW cut through is different than volume and these arnt as crazy loud like you would think)
If tone is just as important as cut through, than check out the AAX line and if those are too much for ya that tne xs20..
