 New Bass Drum
My current bass drum is super cheap, and the things you screw the lugs into are popping off, im not over tightening them. Im on a TIGHT budget, what are some bass drums under 300, or lower if possible that are good enough, im not in a band so im not as worried as sound as most peaople, and im young to having my dream set it out of reach right now, so just something that will work, sounds OK, and wont fall apart.

look on ebay and craigslist. You should be able to find something affordable there.

If you're just replacing a single drum, I'd go to Ebay or Craigslist no question.

yamaha ain't bad.... however...go to your local drumshop and look into just replacing those lugs, it'll probably be MUCH cheaper than buying a whole new drum..

What the heck are RMV Drums? I did a search, but their website isn't up. All I could find is that they're made of Brazilian Maple.........never heard of this company.

They are very big in Brazil and just lost their US distributor. They have many fans around the world because of their great price for a nice maple.
The Brazilian maple Bapeva is very dense compared to other maples and has a huge sound.
There is quite a long thread on the Pearl Drum Forum from some people who own them. I have a 20" in black sparkle that sounds huge. They also known for their light weight so great for gigging.
