 New (?) BD damping system?
Has anyone on here either seen or used these?

They look interesting, to say the least.
Roy.

Huh, I've never seen that before. If it weren't $60 I'd be tempted to try it.

Huh. That's pretty damn interesting. Seems like it'd be a little cumbersome to move around through a port hole, but I'd love to try one out.

since most people dampen their kick drum with a pillow or blanket im surprised no-one has ever really designed anything for that purpose, there's a market there if it can get a better sound than a pillow or the like.

I definitely prefer my method, as I don't have to adjust it after moving my basses. But, kudos to the idea.

I wrap the inside of my shells with carpet padding and/or egg-crate foam. The natural characteristics of both to want to lay flat makes them hug the shell. So they stay put pretty well. And it really doesn't OVER muffle like you would think.
