Well, the Paragon was designed for Neil Peart, so you can't go wrong with that one!
Seriously, both are outstanding cymbals. The A Custom Ping ride is one of the most venerable cymbals out there, but if you are looking for a ride that you can crash on, I'd suggest going elsewhere with your choice.
If you are looking for some general purpose choices, here are a few good ones:
Sabian Paragon
Sabian AA Rock
Sabian Vault
Zildjian A Rock
Zildjian A Sweet
Zildjian K Heavy
Paiste Signature
Paiste 2002 (If you play heavier stuff, then go RUDE)
And I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention:
Saluda Mist-X Medium
Saluda Black Mist (very dry)
Saluda Diamond (Dark and jazzy)
Saluda Hybrid X
Saluda Earthworks
Saluda Glory
Saluda Ion

so far ive never found a ride more appealing than that of a 20 inch K custom session ride. The sound was so unique and incrdible. The 24 inch zildjian K light ride was also very awesome. Zildjian knows their rides

I' say buy the one that sounds better to you. If you like them equally than go for the cheaper of the two

 Ditch both those cymbals.
Get a Paiste 2002 Mega Bell Rock ride (24")

I currently own the HHX groove ride. Its a okay ride. I spent way to much money on it. Its not really for me. I thinking either a K custom ride or a Sabian AA rock ride. I dont really know right now.

Paiste Signature Reflector
Sabian AA Raw Bell
Zildjian K Custom Hybrid
These are three of my definite favorites from the three different companies that are so well displayed (not) at my local Sam Ash.
