Options besides DW's, Pearl Elims, or Tama IC's
Bascially these pedals are the most popular and very similar. I really do not care for the design of these type of pedals. I play Elims DB now but they are not sensitive enough and make me play sluggish. They are quick, but no responsive enough if that makes sense? I never tried Axis or direct drive pedals..what are some pedals that would be considered VERY sesitive and is not the same design as the three I mentioned? Thanks in advance..this is my first post BTW..cool site!

Those BOA pedals are really odd. They were nice, though they didn't feel like they could take a hammering.

$325 for a single or $739 for a double at most places. I have 2 singles (from a year ago) that were $300 each and a new Bigfoot double that I paid $685 for shipped. I got the new one from Peeler Drum Center in Ohio; best price I found for a new pedal. And there's no price difference between the regular or Bigfoot footboards. No, they're not cheap, but they are worth every penny.

I heard Peeler is having a big going out of business sale. I'm about an hour away from Toledo, maybe I'll check it out! $300.00 is crazy for a single pedal! But I could always sell my like new Pearl Elims.

I just spoke with Peeler..good people!
They can order me a Trick single for 300.00
But they also have a Yamaha direct drive for 99.00 single and 245.00 double
Anyone ever play those?

i love the BOA. i've said it before and i'll say it again: i sold my dw 9000 for it and i haven't regretted it for a second.
i can't see myself ever using another pedal...
... and to the person that said they don't look very durable... i completely disagree. i'm a hard player and i abuse the hell out of mine and it's shown no signs of damage... wear or tear...
i've snapped dw 5000 footboards on at least three occasions...

B.O.A pedals are friggin' delicious. I played some up at Steve's in Montreal, and WOW.
I played them right alongside Axis and Tricks.
The Axiss were also really great, but the Tricks felt a little 'stiffer' I guess than the Axis, kind've a weird feel.
I didn't have enough time to really try out each one though, so don't take my opinion as canon.
