I am battling whether to get these of the Sabian B8 Effect Pack. I already have 2 Crashes, 1 Ride, and Hi-hats that are Sabian B8's and I love them. I've never tried Paiste and was really interested. I play heavy metal, rock, death metal, grindcorish type stuff with lots of blasting but I do play a lot of grooves so I need something that will work in both blasting and grooves. Basically I'm looking for short decay and is bright. I want to get advice from someone who has the cymbals or has experience with both the Sabian B8s and the Paiste PST5s. Price isn't a big matter because they are only $7 apart.

pst5 sre better in my opinion, also it would be cool to have some variation of cymbals in your kit.

Compared to PST5s B8s are shit, seriously. I'm no brand whore, but the B8 crash I had was worthless in comparison to my PST5. Instead of buying A Customs which I had previously planned I'm just going to add more PST5s instead, that way I can have 4 crashes instead of 2-3.
Although... I don't think I'll be buying a PST5 ride, I'm going to find one with more ping to it.

to eml, if you want a good ride get a paiste alpha rock ride, they are really good with a nice ping
