Why not go DW or custom and get a 23 like peart did? Apparantly it has a big sound like a 24 but is tight like a 22. Only catch is that the only company that makes 23 heads is remo i think.

I would love to try one those out on a gig or two.

i play a 22" but id love to play a few shows to see the difference...

Good question!

I've used a 22" kick for my entire career...up until recently.

I just bought a Slingerland kit (24 x 16 Kick, 8 x 12 rack, 14 x 14 floor). Now I am wondering what took me so long!

I used the kit on 2 sessions (got it less than 2 weeks ago). It has already proven it's power. A 24" kick is a big sound, so if you're playing music that needs some bottom, you'll love it!

I'm VERY HAPPY about the sound...so are the bands I play with! When you get yours and record with it, ask the engineer if he has a speaker mic (like a re-wired NS10). We mic'd the kick with one of those and a nice condenser. The results were astounding!

Good luck!

Mista John
