Post Question about Evans Emad, please read
I just bought the evans emad 2 ply batter head and the evans resonant black front head. Now im wondering if I was only supposed to buy one or the other and if i put both on, will it dampen the sound too much? I like my kick to boom the same way my tom heads would with a hydraulic head. I have been curious about the emad for quite some time now and decided to just go for it. Anyone who has had experience the emad, please give me advice, suggestions, or just comments. I love to know as much as i can about my heads.

Thanks,
Lisa

it's up to you really, I've put on the emad batter side first for about 2 years and loved it. then a couple months ago I picked up the resonant head and it did add more punch to it. I think you'll dig the sound with the two heads on it. it will dampen the sound of course but it will give you that boom your looking for. I use studio foam to line the bottom of the drum with the emad skins and I enjoy it. put them on and mess with it, tuning wise and if you use anything such as a pillow or maybe a packing blanket or if nothing else aside from the skins, and see what you come up with.
good luck-

If Evans is paying you, use both. If not, TRIAL AND ERROR. What ever works best for YOU
