well, i remember some years ago, these were probably considered low-end cymbals. but, a friend of mine passed along an old set of these to me recently, and i have to say they actually sound pretty good. especially in comparison to some of the new hats out now that i have test-driven lately. anyway, the amirIIs have a little brighter and trashier hiss than i expected when open, have crazy(but, good) explosion opening up, and sound nice, loud and solid when closed.

so, these aren't my usuals but definitely make me want to someday round out a nice zildjian arsenal and, i'm am eager to hear anyone else's feedback about these, if you have or have had them.
