repairing a Tama double bass pedal
Hi everyone.
I'm new to the forums here and I'm trying to find information on repairing my old Tama double bass pedal.
I bought the pedal around 1995, and after all that time, it's finally breaking down on me. I seem to be missing a few screws from the Power Glide sprocket assembly, as well as a few parts from the connector rod assembly.
Does anyone know where I might order these parts from? (my town has no repair shop)
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
John

it may just be time to move on because i don't know that you will find those parts. tama is still making great pedals, as are many other companies.

Yeah... I've actually got an order in for a new set of DW5002 accelerator pedals, but I wanted to use these old tamas on my practice kit - and have them as a back up just in case.

sounds very similar to what I just went through with an older DW pedal. The parts for older model configurations are very hard to come by, the companies don't keep them in stock. I just lucked out by finding a DW double pedal from the same era as my two broken singles with different parts worn out.
used pedals is probably your only bet. still, who knows? maybe there's something on the net like the way old car owners interact when looking for spare parts. I sure haven't found it, tho.
