Rub off the logo on your cymbal using the cleaner?

Then fear not! You too can refurbish those rubbed-off decals on your prized possession!

As you play the drums, you find the need to gain more and more accessories. Adding timbales, cowbells, jinglers, knick naks, thingers, shakers, and so many more accessories… But before you start on that collection, you add countless cymbals.

You remember back in the day when you first started, you used that crappy hi-hat and generic stamped bronze ride. Then you saved the allowance money and finally got your first awesome pair of name brand Sabian hi-hats. Even though they aren't the best, you used them as if they were the only ones in the world. You were so accustomed to their chick and sizzle that you brought that one pair around forever.

Days on the road, sitting in the car, hours on the stand, adding beat and tempo to your little band's style, these cymbals were OG, your best, your first, you last. You look at the old beaut now and see a corroded scratched grey cymbal, no where close to the shiny brass that it was before. The years of wear, the little tick marks from your super 5b's, the Sprite that you spilled on it last winter, the beer that you spilled on it last night, the sweat off your hand... all contribute to the loss of your cymbal's brilliance.

So you go to the store and buy some cleaner.
You even get a steel wool scrubber which you plan to use ever so gently to take off that Coca-Cola.

You spray on the cleaner, getting it so evenly spread across the surface that even you would think that you are a professional detailer. As you follow the directions word for word, you pray and hope that the brilliance will be renewed.

*Leave it on for one minute*
*Thoroughly wash off the cymbal using slight scrubbing motions*
*Danger: acid-based material*

Ok… Ok… Ok… I got this.
As you run your towel over the first inch of metal, you see that old familiar shine; that beautiful shimmer is back. You scrub gently working your way over the surface…

You feel a slight resistance… You scrub harder, you move it a little more, even more resistance… then a slight black marking is smeared… You look down confused and shriek. The LOGO!

Your once grand Sabian cymbal is now a *-*-bian! NO! The recognition that came with the name, the genuine assurance that this was ACTUALLY a good cymbal! GONE!

You decide to see if the company sells any decals for the cymbal and the words it you. Sabian Logo Renewal Kit - A miracle!

You search frantically online for a distributor. Ebay.com – Good enough.

You click on the seller that has the picture.

What? Aren’t we in the 21st century? All we have is this?
A FREAKING OVERPRICED SHARPIE AND A STENCIL!?!?

Overall Review: Not worth it

maybe the sabian sharpy has super durable ink. but of course with it being such a well known company they would have something alittle more technical looking i would think. but i guess not

with the blood of 10,000 stones as ink, they make a stensil on some fat guy's arse! then he sits on every cymbal till the logo is infused with the metal! its rather simple.

...........

ive no idea!

but im sure some machine does it in 0.000698 seconds somewhere.
