i recommend just gettin a wuhan. they have a bad rep, but the smaller chinas sound good for what they call for.

way off. not even ball park. a 12" wuhan goes for about $15 usd. a 14" goes for $20. 16" for $30. and so forth. theyre cheap and sound great. they even sound great when cracked. definitely worth the money.

Go for a tiny Wuhan I dont know of any Sabian lines that have a small china. Well I think the AA line makes a 14" china. But Wuhans are cheap and easily replaced.

Cheers guys - ive decided on this:
http://www.amazon.com/Wuhan-China-Cymbal-14-Inches/dp/B0002F4MKM/ref=sr_1_2/102-0928013-1612162?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1204831946&sr=1-2
Good choice?
EDIT: Just realised this is the American Amazon - looked one the English one, none on there. And, i cant find any in the UK - savage.

I personally think Wuhan chinas sound bad. But a lot of people do like them, and they're are pretty cheap.

same here on the Wuhan. I have a 20" that I've been using for over 4 years, it has a little crack, but I can't say it sounds worse now than it did before. Seriously, those things are ridiculously cheap, and they do the perfect job. I've always said that a china is supposed to sound nasty, and that is exactly what the Wuhan's do!

Before few month i had a hand-hammered mini chinese(14'') It sound quite good, but than i bought wuhan 14'' chinese. It sounds perfect. Now i'm using my hand hammered china as a wall decor for my bedroom.

You can't really beat the 14" HHX Evolution Mini-Chinese, but it's expensive at $179 at Musician's Hut. I've found both the 12" AA and AAX Mini-Chinese cymbals, at $99 and $109, to be better (and cheaper) than the 12" Hand Hammered at $139. I had a 12" Wuhan that I had to end up getting rid of on eBay because it had a horrid clang. It depends what you are looking for out of the china really though. Wuhans are loud, explosive, and very oriental. Sabians have a more pleasant, subdued attack and trashiness about them in my opinion. The general rule is, with chinese cymbals, there is more variation in their sound. So I might have ended up with a particularly bad 12" Wuhan, but in general I think you get what you pay for with that company. Hope this helped
