anyone know what kind of snare chad sexton of 311 uses? i like the sound mucho

according to the 311 site
chad uses a "reinforced shell
Snare: 5-1/2" x14" or 6 1/2"x14"
it looks like a pearl free floating snare but it has his
signature badges on the shell
go check out 311.com click on band then equipment then scroll down to chad's section

I always thought he used a piccolo snare. I never liked his snare sound, it's too thin and short sounding, great for some of the funk stuff they do but for the crunchy-guitar stuff, the sound gets lost.
