Post something I noticed
I realized that now when I play set that I hold my sticks closer to the butt rather than at the actual fulcrum. Now I was in drum line for 4 years in high school so I understand the importance of using the fulcrum, but it keeps sliding back. So is this a serious problem? Does this happen to anyone else?

Im having the exact same problem!! It so anoying because it starts to ache after a while doesnt it. I have tried using grip but it didnt seem to work!!
Is it because im not holding my sticks tight enough?

I mean for the most part it doesn't effect my playing too much, but I do have to fix my grip if I'm going into a more difficult part of the song.

Happens to me too, kinda shitty when you're trying hard to learn the right techniques. Smile
I found that wetting my hands with water fixes it temporarily, I have kind of unusually dry skin so. Try that! Perhaps you guys too have dry hands. Also I noticed that it only happens on used sticks, brand new ones are fine.
