Post tama roadpro vs tama stagemaster
these are the only boom stands ive had experience with and theyre 1000x's better then my pulse. but i was wondering if the hi hat stand and snare stand will be just as good as my boom stand and better then my pulse?

edit: which would be better to get tama roadpro or stagemaster?

Very much so. The Pulse equipment is lower end and Tama puts out great products. If you have a chance to change, I would.

i have all tama roadpro stands except for my hihat stand...that one is the ic lever glide. tama hardware is the best for the price imo, except the thrones...that award goes to roc-n-soc.

I have one Roadpro boom but I'm slowly trying to upgrade everything - its my best stand without a doubt. Toothless cymbal tilter at that price is awesome Smile

I'm with this 100%! I have Roadpro booms, Lever Glide hi hat (which is ace btw) and the Tama 1st chair throne, which although very good, isn't quite up to the standard of the Roc N Soc.

I have 3 roadpro boomstands, and some gibraltars to compare it with, and the Tama stands are absolutely great.
I don't like their snare stands though. Specifically the thing that tightens the basket thingy.. I don't know why, but the plastic seems kinda dodgy to me.

I use road-pro stands and love them...have for years. As far as thrones I steer away from Tama and use Roc-n-Soc. P.O.Y!

Road-pro's are awesome.

Recently I've only been using PDP 800's on my practice set.

http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/world/distributors/frame_uk.html That will tell you all about the lever glide

http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/world/distributors/frame_uk.html Thats the Road Pro.

Basically the Lever glide uses a strong synthetic strap as opposed to a chain and only has 2 legs, which makes it easier for positioning around double pedals. I love the fact the Lever glide tilts, I use that feature a lot.

I'm sure the Roadpro is a very good stand as well.
