Post Taylor Hawkins... a Gretsch man!?
Just seen the video for The Pretender for the first time and instantly spotted the Gretsch kit!

When did that happen?

I heard that he played a Gretsch New Classic set at the summer NAMM show, and said "That's how a drumset should sound."

Definitely an odd jump from Tama. Went from thin shells, to thick shells lol.

I have a Starclassic, I love it but I also love Gretsch and have always fancied one!

Not a bad move by any means.

Yeah, haha. I thought Dave Grohl, and Brann Dailor both switched over to Gretsch for a second....Until I put it together that they probably just didn't want to have to tear down and setup in such a small space with so many people around.

That was what really threw me off.

Eagles Of Death Metal was there and they had Josh Homme (yes Josh Homme from QOTSA, who's like 7 feet tall) on drums and Dave Grohl on guitar.

I love how Brann had to play the double bass part on the floor tom since the house kit didn't have a double pedal. XD
