I used one at a casino gig I did recently. It was a great pedal; very smooth but light feeling. It wouldn't be for everyone, but I def enjoyed using it.

 Re: the dragon!
i'm in a fast tempo punk band,I use the double chained dragon FP 9310 single pedal , it is a great pedal, doesn't feel light at all , it feels quite sturdy to me, i also have a dw5000 accelerator double chained single pedal version i actually switch off between these two ,IMO they both have superior craftmanship.

 Which flying dragon??
Yamaha makes quite a few different flying dragons ,not sure which flying dragon the original post was referring to, however the one i am referring to is yamaha's top of the line flying dragon, iatemygoat, he could be reffering to the direct drive pedal he doesn't specify does he? DBKMAN can you tell us which yamaha pedal you're referring to, Most Yamaha bass drum pedals are all Flying dragons.

 poll(flying dragon)
yamaha does make a direct drive... DBKMAN does not specify if its a direct drive or not.. he just says its a flying dragon.. he is not being very informative.

By light I do not mean not sturdy. These descriptive terms in regards to bass drum pedals are mutually exclusive. The pedal I played, a double chained single, felt very sturdy, but compared to my old IC, it was a much lighter feeling pedal.
