well to tell ya truth he is alright but i think he is more like mainstream CELEB and not a drummer cuz anyone could beat his moves. the soldja boy song is so fukn easy to play, and it just repeats it self like forever.
so i kinda agree with ya.

I think until you are where he is in his career, you should be quiet. Whether you like him or not, he's good enough to be where he's at. As far as his music being easy to play, there are a ton of drummers out there who have had very successful careers playing simple music/beats. Writing a simple song with a hook is just as hard if not harder than writing a complex technical piece.
I think it's just become trendy to hate him.

I think he is a poser because everyone likes him just because he play drums to rap music. I was in th guitar
center once and a kid asked this one guy if he can play solider boy on drums and the older looked at him and
started laughing.

+1 Travis is an accomplished drummer and has a lot of skills that not everyone has. What I find so funny about the Soldja Boy song that everyone refers to is that it's easy, but you forget that he wrote the drum part to go over the song. He used what he had as far as the song was concerned and played to it. If I remember correctly, that is what we do as drummers we play to the music.

i'll be the first to admit, everything about the guy screams douchebag, but that doesn't change the fact that he can play drums.
for every 'too cool' teenager that feels the need to say this guy sucks, i'd love to see some video of you playing half of the stuff that guy did with blink 182.
you couldn't.
... and no... i'm not really a fan of any of his bands. just statin' facts.

I don't hate him...he's a good drummer, just not the awesome super-god people make him out to be.

totally agree.
it's either one of two extremes with him -
either people say he's the greatest drummer on the planet... or they say he sucks.
he's way better than the haters would make you believe, but not nearly as god-like as the fanboys would make you believe.
