Has anyone played or maybe is playing UFIP cymbals? How do they compare to the big three?

Very nice crashes- especially the small ones- very sizzly. Hihats are the worst- very bright and gongy(even the so called "dark ones".

I like them very much. But my mate Ian bought a full set and he told me later they have a problem with breaking easily. He's not a guy who just thwacks cymbals either.

I did own a set of Ufip hi hats about 20 years ago, but they were dreadful.

I like them. They have some nice dark flat rides. I forget the series, I think (Naturals) but the dirty looking ones. I have a nice Ice Bell from them. I have heard some great splashes as well. I like their choice of diferent weights in a cymbal class. They seem to be hit or miss like older Zil or Sabian you have to go through a stack to find one you like, but when you do, man what a nice sound. Then don't break it....
