What do you think this kit is worth? It's within driving distance so I'm not looking at shipping.

I wouldn't know, but the finish sweet... An item is only worth what the bidders/buyer(s) are willing to pay

The finish is not my cup of Tea really. Plus it depends how long the Drums have been played without bottom heads on, but the Bearing edges could be really damaged.

I realize that but I want to know if it's considered a POS due to the condition or worth putting some time into ( for a descent price).

That kit has a Slingerland Tom Mount, which means extra holes have been drilled. The Swiv-o-matic spurs are missing.

I'm sure they will sond good, once the bottom rims and resonant heads are replaced, but it is FAR from investment quality.

I would pass on it, it's too rough.

That set has been so abused, its not funny. The mounts have been changed, the wrap was painted over and is now chemically burnt from the removal of the paint. As a players set it probably sounds really good, put some bottom heads on it and play it out as a retro gig kit. But if you are going for investment or collectability........this is a nightmare.

Or with all the above in mind, if you really want this kit, re-negotiate the price right down to what it's really worth. Which isn't really that much at all.

Yeah, I'm thinking there are too many concerns. If I had the room and means to do a resto...maybe. Be since I don't I don't need another headache. Thanks for the help guys.

Theres probably 300 bucks worth of Rogers hardware on that kit, providing its in really good shape.

Zen and Mr. ThePloughman, you guys never cease to amaze me. Just looking at a small picture you guys can distinguish hardware, and point out faults that no one else would think of.
