Looking into pacific drums, but theres CX, LX, and a bunch of other things... which ones are better? Im noob at drums so I need your guys help. I would like to know which one would be better than the other.

CX, MX, and LX, LXE all share the same shells but have different finish options. The same is true for FS, FX, and FXE kits.

I play an LX.

yes what scott said is right.

the differences are

CX is finished with a wrap

MX is finished with a satin oil

LX is finished with a laquer finish

and LXE is an exoctic laquer finish with black hardware.

i think it works the same way for all the birch series - FS FX FXE

only exceptions are X7 805 and EZ i think...

Yeah, same woods, different finishes.

BTW, the EZ is no longer in production I think. They suck too bad. I know, because I play the damn things right now.

Yep, just like the only difference between a finish ply and exotic finish DW is the actual finish.
