Post Want to learn drumming..
Hello everyone of this community, I'm 15 years old and I already play 5 years classic piano. But rythmic I'm not really good.. I really want to learn to play the drums descent, this will be a fun way of getting better at rythmics AND I'll be able to join a band as a drummer or fill my Synthesis solo projects with it. So I really want to drum..

There a few questions I'd like to ask;
I want to buy an e-drum, because I don't want to have complaining neighbours and parents. This also is a great method for me so that I can play everything via the magic of MIDI. Can you advise me an Edrum? Or should I go acoustic?

If I go electric, I'll also be in need of a module. But I've got a laptop and EZ Drummer.. What is the cheapest way of playing with the drumkits of EZ? IMHO they sound good, and I don't want simple midi drumkits whilst I don't like to spend 1000's of dollars on only a module.. And I already have the laptop and EZ.

Thanks in advance,
DTRemcoG

everything depense of you and the style of your music. First practise the rudiments and after that tap drum lesson on youtube and you would find many technical but many of all start with the charleston alias hi hat

Start out simple, buy a practice pad and sticks. Work on basics and rudiments first. Don't make the mistake I made and get a whole kit right off, it will distract you from the basics. If you do this in steps, I think you will find it more rewarding. I bought a kit when I was just learning, and found myself just trying to figure out songs, not learning the basics. Then after I could play a bunch of tunes, I couldn't right my own, cus all I new how to do was copy. Then I had to go back, unlearn bad habits(very easy to pick up when you don't know what your doing),and start from the beginning. Good luck, and keep practicing.

i agree. don't make the mistake i did and miss out on joining the school band and drumline. you'll be able to practice rudiments, technique, and learn to fall into rhythm with a group. from there on you can find your own niche in the drumming community.
