What are some easy songs to play for beginners?
Well, I'm new here and also pretty new at the drums. I was wondering what are some easy songs to play on the drums? My drum teacher has me doing practice exercise, but I want to just try out a song. Where should I start? By the way, I would prefer that it's a rock song.
Thanks you all!

Try some ACDC. Its very basic, but grooves out.

try something by the donnas. they have some cool beats but are very laid back, so it shouldn't be anything too hard. also some kiss songs such as strutter would probably be cool for you to play.

Aerosmith-walk this way
AC/DC-anything.
everyone is going to bash me for saying this but try some country (unless you absolutely hate the music). Country music has a lot of very basic beats. Pic any song.

Nirvana can get pretty basic, I learned Smells Like Teen Spirit after only playing a drumset for about 4 months. Heart Shaped Box is good too.
You might be able to play Hangar 18 by Megadeth, very basic, but if you are really new to drums you might not have enough stamina. You could probably play some newer Metallica too.

Just try whatever music you like. If it's too hard, you'll know soon enough

That guy is right. Anything from the White Stripes is easy. (Not downing their music) but the drums are very simplistic.

I would just get knees deep in what ever you like to listen to and start banging away. Perfect practice makes perfect. However...study your fundementals and rudiments that your teacher is showing you. Learn to read music and learn from other drummers. We all have alot to offer. Peace.
