That's interesting. I always thought the springs are made (or bought) by the pedal manufacturer. Are there different springs? And where to get them and so on.
I'm interested in this too. Would please a member with "spring wisdom" enlighten us?
thx

Hey this is a market niche
get your silver pedal spring now, smooth as silk, durable as diamond, $899.89.

I usually buy the spring that is made/used by the manufacturer of the pedal I am fixing. But I have interchanged DW springs on Yamaha pedals or an old Gretsch floating action pedal and it worked like a charm.
The Gibraltar parts are generic parts so I am sure they work as well on most pedals that use a spring.

Home Depot...screen door springs.
You think I'm jokin?...fast as hell, but put's a hurtin on your shin with the kick back!
I used to use them back in the day before pedals were as tweaked out as they are now.

They used to make a long sping that was for screen doors, about a foot long 3/8"-7/16" in diameter. Us OLD-schoolers, like Kris and myself, have been known to buy one of those springs, chop off a piece and use it for a pedal... SMOOTH AS BUTTER, REALLY fast, and look-OUT of that recoil! lol
It won't work on a Trick or a Ludwig Squeak King, for almost anything else, it's a really good spring.
