 What was your very first band?
I love asking this question to musicians. What was the very first band you were ever in? What was the band name and what type of music did you play?
For me it was 1985, sophomore in high school.
1st band: Purgatory
Played 80's metal covers (Poison, Tesla, etc...)
Wrote like 5 originals. Alot of fun!

lol
My first band was when I was a sophomore in high school (2001)we were called depraved (?spelling?) we were a cross between disturbed and matalica + not knowing how to play. I had just got my kit......ya we sucked badly. Anyway I wrote a song for the band (guitar, bass, and drum parts) and we stopped cus we just didn’t know how to play that well. I went to a friends house (the guitar player) and his new band was practicing and guess what song he told them he wrote for them......
I don’t talk with him anymore

WOW! 1986...Pharoh was the name. And of course it was hair band music along with some cheesy originals. The start of what is now a great thing though.

A rotten garage band called Naked Ape. This would have been around 1981 or 2.
We played one party and disbanded.
Apparently we were quite loud.

My first band was my Freshman year in high school. We were called Shotgun Soul (long story) but we were horrible and we tried to cover Aerials by System of A Down and Thunder Kiss '65 by White Zombie but it didn't so well. I knew my part but everyone else was bad!!

1992=10th grade.
Band name: Drowning in Cleveland
All originals. Our influences were Tool, Primus and Mr. Bungle.
We auditioned at least 20 singers with absolutely no luck whatsoever.
Ahhh, such is life I guess.... :=
