It's worth it if that's the sound you're going for.
For more info, try Sabian.com.

It is a very diverse line. I love some of the sounds and am not a huge fan of others. I think I'm going to pick up one of the 18" HHX Legacy crashes this week. I played one at my local drum shop this weekend and I was blown away.

my hhx groove ride is way to load for a ride i think. its more like a huge gong crash. haha, so i thought HHx was supposed to be all about projection, and it seems like it is. but thats the only hhx i played so far.

HHX is to HH as AAX is to AA.

I own HHX Stage hats, and although they're darker than I thought they'd be (well, when closed completely), they're awesome. I had bright hats before so I wasn't too fond of the closed sound at the beginning, but now I got used to it and they're amazing.
Try them out first though. See if it's what you want.

I have 13" HHX Stage Hats. The smaller size helps bring out some brightness.

basically means...its more modern...like they use newer techniques to make the cymbal, almost saying redefined. i like the newer lines better from both zildjian and sabain. i wanted to try the vintage hand hammered cymbals one day. but until then..A custom, HHX, and AAX is all i need.

I have the same, I love 'em
I'm all about HHX, due to royalties and work I should be able to complete my set in the next few weeks 18" and 20" Xplosion crashes, beast.

You're not wrong, I have an 18" Evolution and it is outstanding, best 18" I've ever heard.. and I've also got an 18" K Custom...
I was lucky enough to play a full HHX setup on more than one occasion and we're talking HHX Ride, Evolution ride, 14" and 13" hats and a series of crashes, splashes and 18" and 20" Chinese. All sound incredible, which is one reason why I've swapped from Zildjians. Sabian owns them on sound right now as far as I'm concerned and I was a die hard Z fan!
