 What's your favourite finish?
What's your all time favourite finish either cover or laquer?
Mine is:
Pearl's Sheer Blue

My favorite finish has not been done yet, at least not on a set of drums that I know of. I would love it if they looked like Chinese Rosewood furniture. I guess maybe Rosewood drums would do the trick....

Mine would have to be the Mod orange from Ludwig...or Champagne (SP) Sparkle...I have one of my favs already...Gold Sparkle.
I love the exotic wood finishes as well...like Bubinga & Olive Ash, dig the DW website for the olive ash...it's absolutely stunning.

DW offers a Santos Rosewood finish that I think may be what you are talking about...it's beautiful...also, you wanna see some sick wood grain, they also released a series called "Waterfall Bubbinga" that looks amazing....amazing, assuming you have $7000 to spend on a drum kit!!!
edit: I can't find the rosewood finish...I think it was a one off kit for Danny Seraphine (Chicago's old drummer) but here's a few sick finishes they offer...the first is the waterfall bubbinga I mentioned.
here's the olive ash burl...unreal finish & price!!!

that is an awesome job you did with that snare...I saw it before & was very impressed...
how did you get the board converted to something that could be used as a wrap??? It came out awesome though.

its nothing more than buying a piece of white counter top finish (which is basically just like an extra thick drum wrap) and having a local print company copy an actual ouija board and transfer it onto the wrap.

Yeah I meant to say before when you showed us that I think that is one of the coolest finishes on a drum I've ever seen. And you did an awesome job.
