Post wood over metal 
Im looking to get a new snare, but i wanna knoe the main difference their is between a metal and wooden snare.

metal snares tend to be louder and brighter while woods snares are more focused and warm....then you can get into your ludalloy shells and aluminum shells that are kind of in the middle of wood and steel and brass...

get wht u want, but just 2 let u kno tht steel snares tend to hav a lot of high over tones, but if tuned rite, u can get the sound u want
