I LOVED the PS2 and was very reluctant to get an Xbox. I finally broke down when I saw all the games that were coming out for the 360 and got one about a year ago. It's amazing. And I mean amazing NOW. I totally expect the PS3 to outshine the 360 eventually but not for at least another year and a half. Sony made a monster machine but for various reasons it's not meeting its full potential.

Getting to your questioin, no, anyone who can mange to work the controls of their xbox/xbox 360 can sign up for LIVE service. I play against gamers of all ages. I think the youngest guy I played was 8 years old and the kid was a monster at Gears of War.

I don't know how old you are but a little lesson. "You get what you pay for". Yes the internet is free, but all that cool stuff you look at was made by someone that is getting paid or trying to get paid. It's may be "free" to you but something is paying for it. Xbox LIVE does cost money but you get a more stable and enviroment with plenty of options. In the year and a half that I have been on LIVE I have experience maybe three or four problems that could be attributed to a Live system issue and it didn't last for more than a short while (minutes). Heck, the bigger game titles will usually give you a month of free LIVE service so you can try it out before you have to pay.

dude you cant play online unless you pay , the one u get with it is only a silver membership n u cant do shit with it,hense why im buying gold membership.so yes it very much does affect the gameplay. but thanks for your time .
